LOWELL – Elpiniki “Niki” (Papakostas) Litopoulos, 81, a longtime resident of Lowell, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Lowell General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Elpiniki was the beloved wife of the late Tilemahos Litopoulos with whom she shared 53 years of marriage prior to his death in 2018.
She was born in Aidonia, Grevena, Greece and was a daughter of the late Thomas and Kleanthi (Nacopoulos) Papakostas.
Elpiniki took great pride in taking care of her home and family. She kept her home impeccable and enjoyed cooking for family gatherings. Niki loved traveling to her beloved Greece where she spent time with family and friends. Most of all, she enjoyed the precious time she spent with all of her family, especially her loving grandchildren.
Elpiniki is survived by her loving son, Elias Litopoulos and his wife, Jenny, of Dracut, her grandchildren; Kleanthi and Tilemahos. She also leaves her sister Sophia and her husband Vasilis from Greece. Sadly, she was predeceased by her sister Ioulia and her husband Athanasios from Greece. She will be deeply missed by many beloved nieces, nephews and friends both here and in Greece.
Visiting Hours will be held on Monday, January 11, 2021 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at the BLAKE CHELMSFORD FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., CHELMSFORD. Her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 12th, 2021 at 10 o’clock at Holy Trinity Hellenic Orthodox Church, 62 Lewis St., LOWELL. KINDLY MEET AT THE CHURCH.
