Obituary for Edwin Fleming Wilson

MEDFORD - Edwin Fleming Wilson, 86, of Medford, MA, passed away on November 24, 2018 in Chelmsford, MA.

Edwin was born in Medford to Albert and Alice Wilson on July 7, 1932 and graduated from Medford High School. He had three daughters from his first marriage and numerous step-children from his second marriage. Edwin worked as a truck driver and machinist for many years and took great pride in having driven through each of the 48 continental United States. He enjoyed boats, fishing and driving trips. Edwin moved back to New England this past July from Vero Beach, Florida to be close to family.

Edwin is survived by his loving companion, Eleanor McPartlin, his step-daughter, Lynda (John) Wellman and their children; Jodi (Brian) Cloney, Kymberli (Jeff) McDonald, Allison (Sam) Stoltze, Melissa Wellman, Alexandria (Tyler) Preiss, Brianna (Thulani) Mnisi, and their grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Jakob Cloney, Lia Cloney, Joshua McDonald, Grace McDonald and Lincoln Stoltze, step-daughter Pamela Churchill and her children; Blair Churchill, Heath Churchill, and her grandchild Austin Churchill, step-daughter Heather (Tom) Hodgkins and their children; Bradley (Tina) Stewart, Brittany (Mike) Delehanty, and their grandchild, Brendan Stewart, step-daughter Marie Rideout and her children; Michael Rideout and Jaclyn Rideout, his daughter Lisa (Tim) Barnes and their children Alexa Barnes and Jason Barnes, daughter Lynda (Craig) Gephart and their children; Ryan Gephart and Corey Gephart, and daughter Diane (Bruce) Tobey and their child Christa (Brian) Keohan and their grandchild Dante Welch. He also leaves Eleanor's children; Colleen (Warren) Haggerty, James (Michael) McPartlin, Joanie (Daniel) Block, Patrick (Kelly) McPartlin, Amy (Steven) Miller and her grandchildren; Patrick (Molly) Haggerty, Kathleen (Michael) Kenyon, Erin Haggerty, Connor Block, Lauren Block, Christopher McPartlin, Michael McPartlin, Jacob Miller and Ryan Miller.

Edwin is preceded in death by his second wife, Grace Wilson, his parents, Albert and Alice Wilson, his siblings, Dorothy Robinson, Barbara Henderson and Albert Wilson and his stepson Randall Rideout.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 14, 2018 at 4 o'clock at Central Congregational Church, UCC, One Worthen St., Chelmsford with Pastor Richard Knight officiating.

A reception immediately following the service will be held at 5 Montview Road in Chelmsford, MA. Edwin will be buried in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford, MA.
