Chelmsford - Dorothy Mooers Parker Gray, born Feb 27 1925, daughter of the late Arthur Benjamin Parker, Sr. and Ruth Devens Mooers Parker passed away Monday the 4th of May at the age of 95.

Twins, Dorothy and Benjamin were the 9th generation and the last of the Parkers to be born in the Parker family Homestead at 137 Pine Street Lowell MA.

Dorothy attended the Morey School, and was a 1943 graduate of Lowell High school. She graduated from Lowell General Hospital School of Nursing in1946, then went on to work as a part-time Registered Nurse at the Lowell General Hospital until 1970.

Dot was an avid reader and gardener. Her childhood love and admiration of horses, followed her all her life.

Her ancestry was traced back to Jacob Parker, one of the “Five Parker Brothers” who came from Great Burstead England around 1640 to settle and help establish Chelmsford MA.

Dorothy leaves her daughters; Donna Proudfoot and diane gray, grandchildren; Pamela MacShane, Fred and Chrissy Murphy, and four great-grandchildren; Jacob and Jessica MacShane, Trevor and Eric Murphy.

Dot’s twin brother, Ben Parker passed on Aug. 3 2010.

Funeral Services and interment will be held privately.
