Obituary for Diane Massion (DePaolo)

Diane (DePaolo) Massion, age 79, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, November 17, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Dieter Massion.

She was born in Everett on February 26, 1943 and was the daughter of the late Vincent and Louise (DePrizio) DePaolo.

Diane was a coach and trainer with the John Maxwell Team, helping people transition in their career and personal life. She was a dedicated volunteer and supporter of St. Jude Children’s Hospital and a parishioner of St. Mary’s Parish in Chelmsford. She loved reading, the ocean, mountains, and nature. She enjoyed traveling and had a special fondness for Germany where she was married and lived for a few years. Diane will be remembered as a kind, generous, and loving person and will be dearly missed.

Diane is survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her son, Michael Massion, and her siblings, James DePaolo Sr., and Christine DePaolo.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 22nd at 11am at Woodlawn Cemetery, 302 Elm St., Everett. Kindly gather at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Diane’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital at stjude.org.
