Obituary for Carol Ann Buonsanto (Mounce)
Carol A. Mounce Buonsanto, age 74, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2022, due to Alzheimer’s disease.
She was born November 3, 1948 in Boston to Leonard and Florence Mounce and was raised on the South Shore of Massachusetts.
Carol was the wife of the late Michael J. Buonsanto, whom she married in Samoa and to whom she was deeply devoted for 18 years before his passing in 1999. Carol spent 8 years traveling in the South Pacific teaching the Bahai Faith abroad before settling in Westford, MA to grow and raise her family. Carol was a dedicated member of her local Bahai community, where she gained lifelong, irreplaceable friendships.
Carol was a hair stylist for 40 years and gained many close friends due to her work. She enjoyed cooking for her family, gardening, growing giant pumpkins and showing her rabbits at local 4H fairs. She had a passion for community and always did what she could to serve any needy cause.
Carol is survived by her loving family, including her brothers, Wayne, Leonard, and Dennis Mounce; her three beloved children, Carmella, Penina, and John and his wife Jacqueline; and her four grandchildren, Hailey, Jackson, Ryan and Oliver, all of whom she loved deeply.
Her funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at 10 am at Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St, Chelmsford. Carol will be laid to rest at the Fairview Cemetery in Westford, next to her beloved husband Michael following the service. In lieu of flowers, in honor of Carol, the family is asking to please donate to the Alzheimer’s Association, act.alz.org, in her name.
