Obituary for Carl P. Marinella
CHELMSFORD - Carl Peter Marinella, 48, a lifelong resident of Chelmsford, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Sunny Acres Nursing Home where he had resided for 7 years, after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
He was born in Weymouth on August 8, 1970 and was a son of Ronald P. and Elaine Marinella.
Carl was raised in Chelmsford. He graduated from St. Margaret School in Lowell in 1984 and from CHS in 1988 as a member of the National Honor Society. Prior to his illness, Carl was a student at the University of Lowell and was employed at UPS.
Carl leaves behind his devoted and loving parents, Ronald and Elaine Marinella of Chelmsford, a brother, Craig Marinella and his longtime girlfriend, Jen Marron, and a sister, Eileen DeChaves and her husband, Peter. He also leaves his beloved niece Julia DeChaves and nephews; Samuel and Thomas DeChaves. Carl also has several aunts, uncles and cousins, whom he adored.
Funeral services and burial will be held privately. A celebration of Carl's life will follow on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at 11 o'clock at the family home.
