Obituary for Brendan A. Ahern

HAWAII- Brendan A. Ahern, on Thursday, November 15, age 41, passed away in his home in Waikiki, HI. Brendan was preceded in death by his sister, Stacey Ahern.

He is survived by his father Brendan M. Ahern of Kailua, HI; his mother Carol Gendron Ahern of Chelmsford, MA; his sister Kate Ahern of Billerica, MA; his Godparents Steven and Ruth Anne Gendron of Lowell, MA; his Godson Tyler Gendron of Jacksonville, NC; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many dear friends, including Rusty Bilodeau of MA, Kali Carvalho and Matt Billingsley of Hawaii.

Brendan was a graduate of the University of Hartford and University of Hawaii, Manoa. He was a passionate special education teacher, autism specialist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst. He leaves behind many students he cared for deeply. Brendan also enjoyed working as a body double and stunt double on the television show Hawaii 5-0, and occasionally did acting work.

Additionally, Brendan leaves behind his beloved dog Fenway the Labradoodle for whom Brendan built a following of over eleven million on Instagram. Brendan enjoyed athletics and was an avid New England sports fan. He loved to hike and spend time on the beach. His friends list his great qualities as his big heart and sense of humor. He will be missed by the many who loved him.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at the BLAKE CHELMSFORD FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., CHELMSFORD.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11 o'clock at St. Mary Parish, 25 North Rd., CHELMSFORD.

Interment will be held privately.
