Obituary for Benjamin John Stack

Benjamin John Stack, 80, a resident of Lowell, formerly of Naugatuck, CT, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 6, 2024, at Lowell General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Louise (Serpico) Stack, with whom he shared 56 years of marriage.

He was born on March 15, 1944, in Plainfield, NJ, and was the son of the late John and Olga (Kudelko) Stack.

Ben was raised in Manville, NJ, graduated from Manville High School and went on to study History at Bridgewater College in Bridgwater, VA. After graduating, he worked for the Boy Scouts of America in New York City, where he met his wife. After moving to Naugatuck, he worked as an Executive Recruiter before settling into a career as a realtor. He retired from Better Living Realty in 2023 and moved to Lowell, MA to be closer to family. His interests included playing tennis, watching sports, meeting new people, and smoking cigars while reading newspapers.

In addition to his loving wife, Benjamin leaves his children, Daniel Stack and his wife Patricia, of Marlborough, MA, and Michael Stack and his wife Jennifer, of North Chelmsford, MA as well as beloved granddaughters Catherine, Victoria, and Jasmine.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024, from 8:30 am – 10 am at the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 am at St. Mary Parish, 25 North Rd., Chelmsford following the visitation. Interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery, North Chelmsford. Memorial donations may be made in his name to St. Jude Research Hospital at stjude.org.
