Obituary for Anne Johnstone
WESTFORD - Anne Johnstone, a lifelong resident of Westford, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 31,2018 at the Apple Valley Center in Ayer. She was 90 years old.
Born in Westford on March 1, 1928, she was one of five children born to the late Thomas and Annie (McKnight) Johnstone.
Anne was devoted to her Catholic faith and for much of her life was an active parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Parish in North Chelmsford where she greatly enjoyed religious retreats. She was an avid reader and loved doing puzzles, spending time gardening and also loved cats.
Anne is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings; Thomas Johnstone, Jr., Janet Nigon, Marion Swanson and Doris Grochmal.
It being her wish, calling hours have been omitted. A graveside service will be held at 1 o'clock on THURSDAY, January 3, 2019 at Fairview Cemetery on Main Street in WESTFORD.
Her family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Apple Valley Center in Ayer for the exemplary care they have provided to Anne for the past ten years.
