Obituary for Ann-Marie "Annie" Robinson (Pigeon)

Ann-Marie “Annie” (Pigeon) Robinson, 78, a longtime Chelmsford resident, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 16, 2023, at D’Youville Senior Care Center, Lowell, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Lowell on June 3, 1944, and was a daughter of the late Paul E. and Alice M. (Healy) Pigeon.

Annie was raised in Lowell on Branch Street. Having the name Pigeon on Branch Street always made people chuckle. She was a graduate of Keith Hall High School, class of 1962 and a graduate of Lowell Trade School, class of 1963, where she earned her LPN. Following graduation, she worked as an O.R. nurse at St Joseph’s Hospital. Her next endeavor was at Merrimack Valley Oral Surgeons in Lowell. She was a favorite of the staff and patients since she was very caring and could always make people laugh. Annie finished her nursing career as an O.R. nurse at Emerson Hospital in Concord. Even after she retired, she loved sharing with people that she was a nurse.

Annie was athletic and competitive. She played on the basketball team in high school. Annie was an excellent tennis player and earned many trophies in tournaments, including several of the Lowell Sun Open with her doubles partner, Barbara Kierce. She was an avid golfer. Annie loved to dance and was always the first and last one on the dance floor.

Annie’s greatest love was her Lord and her library of books reflected this. Her favorite place to be on Sundays and Wednesday nights was at Grace Bible Church in Dracut. Family and friends still remind us of one of her favorite quotes, “God is watching you.”

Annie leaves her children, Kellie Greska and her husband Jeff of Milford, NH, and Derek Robinson and his wife Stacey of Chelmsford; her grandchildren, Luke, Shane, Kaela, Jake, and Kylie Greska, and Elizabeth and Avery Robinson; her sister-in-law, Nancy Clark of Hudson, NH and her Aunt Lillian of Worcester.

She was predeceased by her former spouse Gerald A. “Jerry” Robinson and her brother Paul Pigeon.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Princeton Station, 147 Princeton Street, North Chelmsford MA, Saturday, February 4, 2023, 12-4pm.
