Alan Scott Gale, 73, a long time Chelmsford resident, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at Palm Manor Nursing Home, Chelmsford. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen “Kathie” F. (Quinlan) Gale with whom he shared 51 years of marriage.

He was born on December 29, 1946 in Oahu, Hawaii and was a son of the late Robert S. and Florence L. (Whitney) Gale.

Alan was raised in Billerica and graduated from BMHS with the Class of 1965. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Lowell University in 1979. He worked for Scully Signals in Wilmington as a senior buyer until his retirement. Alan was a car enthusiast taking pride in his bright yellow 1946 Ford Coupe.

In addition to his loving wife, Alan leaves his brother Robert Gale and his wife Cheryl of NH, and his sister Florence Hubbard of NH. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many cousins.

Sadly, Alan is predeceased by his beloved son Darren Gale who passed away in 2016.

Due to the circumstances surrounding COVID-19, services and interment will be held privately. Alan’s wife Kathie would like to thank everyone at Palm Manor for their kindness and care.
